Jeannie Tomlinson Saltmarsh is a Memphis native. As the daughter of an architect, her interest and love of the arts began at an early age. A University of Memphis graduate, she also attended the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, as well as courses in blacksmithing, welding and metal casting. She discovered the Metal Museum and like most desired to spend more time there. With hard work and determination, that desire is now a reality in the Artist in Residence Program. She has experience in both the smithy and the foundry and has plans to grow, create and play in both.
